+ my outrageous berry-peach green smoothie bowl recipe +

I'm kind of getting used to the weirded out looks my co-workers give me sometimes. I know they are not trying to be mean, they are just puzzled by the things they see me eat. What a sad thing...eating living and nutritious food is out of fashion, or downright abnormal these days. The recipe I'm sharing with your today has made the biggest impression by far in the office. No big deal, different will always catch people's attention. It is my favourite quick meal to make in warm weather. It is gorgeous, flavourful, nourishing, satisfying and could easily pass off as dessert. You can whip it up in just 10 minutes, and it will keep you going for hours.

Green smoothie bowls are very versatile: you can use any kind of fruit, greens or liquid base you like. You can make them sweet or tangy and they will help you boost your leefy green intake. This recipe is perfect for those who never had a green smoothie before. The combination of fruits smothered in the green goodness is outrageously delicious. Here's what you'll need:

Ingredients (makes 1 large or 2 small servings):

For the smoothie base:
  • 2 ripe bananas, fresh or frozen (mine were not spotty today :( )
  • 2/3 cup mylk (walnut, almond, coconut, oat, etc.)
  • 50-100 gr fresh spinach
  •  vanilla powder
  • 1 tbsp flaxmeal
Toppings:
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 125 g blueberries
  • 2 peaches, sliced
  • 1 tbps goji berries
  • 1 tsp cacao nibs
  • 1 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds
Instructions: Blend smoothie. Pour into bowl. Add toppings.

DIG IN!! YUM.
